This personal project was created to showcase and develop my graphic design skills through the branding and promotional materials for a fictional Japanese restaurant. The goal was to create a fun, colourful, and eye-catching visual identity that would feel approachable and memorable.
I started by developing the restaurant’s logo, using an octopus with takoyaki-inspired elements to create a playful logo mark that would be immediately recognizable. The logo established the visual direction for the rest of the brand, influencing the colour palette, typography, and overall graphic style.
Using this visual identity, I designed a single-page restaurant menu focused on clear organization while maintaining the fun and energetic personality of the brand. I also created social media graphics promoting potential deals and new offerings, extending the branding across different marketing materials and showcasing how the visual identity could be used consistently across both print and digital applications.
